    Would your Dad really charge you 3-4K for a 100K mile Malibu?

    What'd you do to make him want to screw you over like that?

    ps~ i've already got the hot rod i've always dreamed of. slowly but surely rebuilding a 54 chevy pickup, and lovin every minute of it. :D

    :) ironically enough, she's back into the shop tomorrow for...you guessed it...break problems (and probably her 4th or 5th set of rotors this year). hmmmmm

  6. Not really. It MIGHT be post count. Ironically, some of the worst and/or lamest posts are done by those with a high post count.

    Which is obviously HOW they got that post count, besides not doing any other damn thing during their time on this planet (before they go back to their own...)

    BTW, I'd also avoid 70's cars not only for the emission-related problems (I get tested here), but also the rust. Rust seemed to bedevil almost every 70's car from every manufacturer. Even Corvettes (ever look at the frame?? Here they can be almost gone, but the body looks decent:rolleyes: ). Today I saw a mid-70's Firebird, a base one (Esprit). Shocked hell outta me, I hadn't seen one in so long, and this one was rust-free (wife said it - "must be from somewhere else")
