Ok so since the 54 is getting some R&R, I am on foot this week. I live close to my shop, so its nice to actually walk the short distance for a change. Yet today it was not. I am very bent about this. Ok I was walking along and the air was filled with smoke and smelt so poorly I almost got sick. It was coming from a poorly tuned, and poorly kept CadI, I would guess early 90s model. The gent that owned was filling it up and kept it running, and did not even notice...or care for that matter that the car was spewwing this shit out of it. I walked into the coner store and was talking to my delightful sweet clerks that always make me smile and when they asked how I was I replyed " Doing better then that caddi out there..." and the guy got offended..."What the fuck" is his reply, I tried to explain in the nicest way that he should do something about it. To no avail... then shortly there after a 1990 chevy truck, goes by doing the same thing... ok to the point...I just cant believe they give us shit in cali about wanting to wreck cars that are classic american icons...because of poorly kept crappy newwer cars... Ok Ok there is no point to this...but I just got really pissed... I think some of you guys here can relate.
I hear you. I can't believe how many beat pickups I've seen around here lately burning oil faster than you can pour it back in. This in the land of regular emissions and inspection testing Too buisy failing old ladies who need wiper blades than the rustbuckets that have cracked blocks.
some of the worst smokers ive ever seen have been mid 80's jap cars, i hate the fact that people tend to associate old cars with pollution its total b.s.
