I’m not sure if I’m on the right message board and hope I don’t mess up someones thread but I was wondering if someone could tell me if it would be OK to reuse lifters and cam in a Chevy 235 even if they are a little worn I put new rings and rod bearings and valve seals just to eliminate oil usage. I drive it every day but just close to home. Thank you

  2. In a pinch yes.. Lifters MUST go back i the same hole they came out of..

You just put new rings/bearings, I wouldnt say that was in a pinch tho !

If you know a cam grinder near you, the lifters can be refaced cheaply. Maybe the cam could be regound

we can't see how worn out they are...you can. But yeah, if it was running before, and you leave them in the holes they were in before, then they'll keep working as they were.

If you swap the lifters around to different cam lobes, then all bets are off.
