Cool pics and cinematography, but now the ****y part is how many folks are gonna jump on the bandwagon and cause the prices of belly tanks & hot rods to skyrocket because old supply and demand. Look what rediculous **** happened when biker boys and fast and the furious came out.... everyone wanted one, well ok not everyone, but I saw alot more on the street after that.
WOW! WOW! WOW! Congratu-f'n-lations! I can't stand tommy wear but your cars actually made that commercial very bearable!
After looking thru the pics and hearing more of the story, to say that the whole ordeal is insane would be an understatement! I always heard Tommy had a good eye for cars! I'm so happy for all of you guys! And trust me, the broads looking at these ads will not be interested in land speed racing or buying belly tanks or getting hot rods after looking at these ads. This is a totally 'safe' demographic. Well, except for maybe guys like Tiny who read their wife's magazines.
I was really surprised the first time I picked up that mag. Its all politics not much fashion except in the adds I guess thats how they pay for it.
who the hell said tommy hill finger had any say in the ads and does the man really exist? It 's like beleiveing that the colonel really cooks your chicken and Ronald Macdonald cares about your kids nutrition. Jeesus ,talk about ****ed in by marketing!!
I just hope this doesn't mean we're going to see a flock of teenage girls hanging out at the mall with "Speed Week" written on their trucker hats, the way they *******ized poor Von Dutch!!
I know.... Totally. But... I sold out for racing. All the money I made is going into 2 new race engines. So the ones that are reaping the Hilfiger benefits are Ross pistons, Crower rods, H&H flatheads, Lopez Crank, Dan Eubanks, Ron Kelley....etc. etc. etc.
Thats not selling out, its not like you were doing stuff you didnt want to, you got to take your hot rod to Europe , get an all expenses paid vacation, meet lots of people and now you get to build the engines you want, that rocks.
I didn't think about that. Dam the old crow racing logo wouldn't become the next hipster logo like Von Dutch will it?
Congrats!!! What an experience!! His Hillfiger going to invite you to his museum of priceless autos? That would be cool to see in person.
For a minute there, I thought Hiboygirl's movie had come out... Frank Zappa was right: Brown Shoes, Don't Make It
Bobby-- What a great opportunity for you, the girl, and the car! That kinda stuff doesn't happen to most folks even once in a lifetime, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. looking forward to seeing the fruits of your modeling gig at Bonneville this Summer. Regards, jay
50 years from now, someone is going to find this photo and start a thread on some car board about how hot rodders used to dress "back in the day"
