I had to cut around in a circle and then cut the drum in piece cuz my braked were hanging up then I had to use a lot of heat and a puller I left it on for days and keep going out and messing with it and finally one day I walked a way and heard it pop loose... this was on my 59 witch I air bagged and wish I would have know the problem with the brakes being a pain I would have swapped rear ends then but I may do it soon or later ...Also I had a 52 dodge and the puller got it off very easily

  3. Just asking, maybe I missed somthing, but those2 bolts, one on each side of the backing p.late, is the shoe adjuster. I learned the hard way on my buddies 53 dodge truck after cracking a drum and breaking his puller. Boy was I dumb. Used replacement drum was 140.00
