Gents, I picked up this axle 39 years ago at the Harrah's swap meet and need a little feedback. as you can see from, the photos it is very crude on the drop and it seems that the pads for the wishbone have been cut down. any ideas why they would do that? It also has E E S stamped in it. I sold a flathead to this dickish guy a few years ago and he said it was a piece of junk because the drop was so crude...any thoughts? It looks like an original 40's Dago axle to me.
It's a 32 axle, it's not crude by early standards. You have a nice early dropped axle that is worth some $$$
Looks like a '32 axle with a slightly crude drop. The wishbone area looks correct for 32. Should measure 2" thick.
what is the dimension at the perch hole, If it's 2" and the beam is approximately the same it's a '32 Ford Heavy Axle. Worth 3 to 4 hundred bucks.
