I’ll just bought a old funny early Hemi based on a std 392 block bored ( +125 ? ) and not concrete filled and 4 bolt alu caps, and it came from a historic racer in Sweden ( died late 80’s in a crasch )
Crank is a Velasco 3.90” and Ansen alu rods and Arias pistons.
871 blower and a Enderle bird catcher, cam is a Isky and cam gear drive and zoombies.
I will not personal use it but it was some std 392 parts included I was into.

-What question is, how could they race a +125 bored and not filled (?)

392 bored .125 won't fly, waaay too much. Maybe filled it might work but wouldn't count on it, especially with a blower. I'm****uming "382" is a typo & meant 392.

Aluminum rods are not suited for street use, especially long term useage.

As I said I will not personally use it as parts is allready sold.
I was into it as it was some other std 392 parts included in the deal.
History was told this was his back-up engine or if he used it before as he had a Donovan aswell later on.
I guess he had allot of engines and seller bought this in the 90’s as someone needed handle his tuff after he died.
So to call it the ’back-up’ is a misstake…
This stuff was not made here in Sweden that I can tell. And in that time he was the most sponosred driver and called ’Lee’ Anders.
I was just amazed some orderd Arias piston at +125 and not filled.

Funny… I build Revells funny cars as a kid in the mid 70’s and my father was involved with a ’street alteed’ car ( famous here in the 70’s ) and they had a Chevy 331 in it, but there buddy had Morris Minor they installed a 426 Hemi in and 727/Dana 60 and all laughed, but they read the DC bible good and won it all for years, when I saw those chromed big valve covers I was Mopar guy.
They had the same machine shop and I always loved the smell in there so 1985 I went there and I said ; I’m going to work here…
Well allot water under bridge but 2025 I’m still doing short blocks.
Now I own for some minutes… legendary Sweden funny car parts.
Who ever knew that. Saw this guy on dragstrips back then.
-This sceene with ’Falconetti’ I remember ( 1979 ) well, time has shore went on !
