Old Farts Thread!

one year over. don't really care one way or the other, but i've waited all my life to be this old. favorite is my 5 window.

59 here, I started working on cars in 62 with a buddy of mine and his older brothers, then my brother and I started our first one was a 23 T with a 265 &ford three spd. The one I miss the most was my 49Ford Business Coupe that I put a 325 D'500 Dodge hemi , three spd. My old man sold it when I was in the Navy.

65 in august. my first car was a 52 ford convertible (back in 1960). Lots of "firsts" in that car, so it's a natural favorite.

 

Yup, 50 and then some.

well i'm 61 62 at the end of the year retired from my day job last nov. have a 46 coupe,66 mustang,77 bronco, plus the wifes 2006 truck and my daily drive for when i went to work 01 f250 . have had many cars the first was grand-dads 38 for . then a 29 a sedan two or three other rods a 63 vet. and etc realy wish i had them all back

 

To all you YOUNG guys...I'm 74,be 75 this year..Done a lot and still doing..
building a full fendered 32 roadster right now...Going back to a post by Bassfire
about an 89 year old with a 4.6 Ford in his highboy roadster...That is Pappa John from Houston..He came to our show last year here in Jefferson..told us he
got a 140MPH speeding ticket on way up...We gave him a special trophy for
inspiration to us all...Have owned many,many Hot Rods in the past,and still
have my 1948 Whizzer...Not For sale..
My advice to stay young...My Hunny is only 42 and keeps all the bugs worked out of my system...Need I say more?
