Old Kart Identification

    we have this old kart that has been floating around the shop for many years...anyone have any idea as to what it is? I have tons of pics of it if more are needed to identify it...it has an old Continental Motors Co engine in it...

    I guess its considered a Junior Midget? First trying to figure out the year...

    This looks like a very well made home built car. I have never seen a factory built car with the motor in the front. It looks like a Continental engine. Just curious how the drive setup works with the motor mounted sideways. My best guess would be that your car was built in the late 1950's or early 1960's. Is that a headlight mounted to the hood? Neat little racer!

    One of the pictures is of the tiny differential. It has a drive shaft coming off a Continental motor, a gas pedal and a brake lever...

    The little scoop is an intake duct as the carb sits there...I am interested in selling it...

    Looks like from his post count and the year, he only came here to sell it with a "disguised ad", and has't been back. He probably does't even lurk, but I guess you never know. Good luck. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
