I sent off a vintage license plate to Bjorn Larsen of the License Plate Farm in Marysville, WA last Nov for restoration after doing a bit of checking on him. His web site is quite nice and the restoration charge seemed reasonable... so I communicated with him via email in early Dec. and his response was timely and he had the plate and was working on it. In Jan he was doing touch up on it.. and now no response at all to emails.. his answering machine recorder is full... and I am getting that sinking feeling. His mail address is a PO Box so that isnt much help... payment was by USPO money order and they don't offer any help.. does anyone know anything about this guy? I left a phone inquiry with a restoration shop in Everett, WA (next door city) this morning hoping they may know something but no response from them yet. Anyone else in this boat with me? Pretty strange.
I think Bjorn lives here 11011 90th Avenue Northeast, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 Do a Goggle map search and you will see it is in the boondocks. Check him out here - it has Links https://www.snoco.org/proptax/(gu0i0eruinpo4n45opwplk55)/search.aspx http://www.snoco.org/app2/propsys/P...&Yr=1992&ImpId=D&ImpType=DWELL&StType=1 Story Story I could be wrong. Been a couple years since I've had him do a plate for me, he was responsive and honest then. Saw him in his booth at the swapmeet a couple weeks ago, so he's still active with the business. The few times I've had to email him he was responsive. I guess you're just going to have to keep after him.
My brother ordered a plate and it took over a year to finally get a refund. He claimed that particular year plate, 1971, wasn't available. I noticed he was at the two swap meets in Puyallup last month so I know he's still in business. Maybe you need "Guido and da boyz" to pay him a visit. Good luck
Thanks for the input guys.... I will put in a call to Randal the candle and see if he works the northwest. All kidding aside, I cant see why the guy operates this way, and that is why I thought I'd provide some negative feedback on him, which wont do him any good based on the population of the HAMB.
There might be a plausible reason for his current lack of communication .... he deserves a longer "leash" in mym past experiences
I don't believe I know the gent personally but it seems that guys who do things like that tend to get sidetracked pretty easily. As Lost in Austin said earlier the place he lives is somewhat out in the sticks and Not just a couple of minutes down the road from Everett.
What plate of your do I have, what is your name. I will try and fix whatever trouble I have caused you. Bjorn
Maybe he's got Dengue fever. I got an idea that this ship has already sailed, been to the lost continent and back.
HA! This is so funny. Four years later he investigates why his business dropped off. Hmmm, maybe the HAMB is an impending force after all.
I agree this ship has sailed to the Lost Continent, but I don't think it sailed back. Also curious that Steisnbu, who has posted 3 times since 2005, has "found" this old post. Shoot, HRP posts more than that in 10 minutes, not 10 years.
Well, if I knew who it was, I would have responded earlier. I have a few plates that have been restored and paid for, but they have moved and have never gotten a hold of me. Maybe I can send it to you?
Someone pointed this out to me, otherwise I would have been more responsive earlier. You must be bored to have checked on how many posts I have made, get a life dude!!!!
Maybe you could send the guy a message and figure out whether you still have his plate or not. Just a thought. I doubt very much that he is monitoring this thread four years later.
