old mopar tranny?

so i picked myself up a 218 6 cyl this weekend out of a 49 plymouth but it has an older ****** attached to it the guy claimed to be from a 36? mopar anybody know how to identify it or have a spec sheet bout an old 30s ******? i dont have pics just yet but its shorter than most 40-50s mopar stick ******s and is a floor shifter.. i dont know much else just got it unloaded and sitting in the 48 till i get some time in a week or so to really look at it.. just trying to find out what i can here and there.. any info is appreciated... thanks
