Glad to be back! Well kinda, sure was a good time in Vegas. At least, I think it was.

The days when privateers could campaign a Fuel car was before my time. Maybe that's why I am so drawn in by these pictures.

Not sure what is wilder in this pic - the Fueler or the striped pants.

Early REDs. The beginning of the end of the dragster as an asthetic masterpiece.

Man, I am crazy-busy, so I have not been able to post for a while. I am getting down to the last few pics I have scanned (but not really scratched the surface of all the ones I have.)
Love this shot, it is so balanced....

I don't think this one would pass tech these days. I keep looking at that front axle and what appears to be the steering box welded to it. Is it me or is that axle bent?

For sure, that is one wild ride. Ain't nuttin' normal 'bout that T! (Or the driver suit/helmet. Very spaceman) I just can't imagine that front axle is as screwed up as it looks. But then, who builds a shroud like that over the engine of a drag car?

Seeing as how it is full fendered and has lights, I would think it was probably running in the SR class which required a hood to completely cover the blower and or injectors (although the scoop or stacks were allowed to protrude).

If I am not mistaken, some of the early Dodge axles were shaped like that from the factory, thats got to be what it is. I think I have one other photo of this roadster if Mike does not have it.

Hey, guys - I've been busier than a one-armed paper hanger. I've only got a few more that I have scanned and not yet posted. I'll get them up quick while I have a few minutes...

"Nitro-Holic. *Sigh* Whatever happened to the great race car names?
You'd think they could fit something in between the sponsor billboards.

OK, I'm getting down to it. Slightly o/t, but hey, it's still a 40+ year-old car.
