They are SO heavy though! Mine came from the 3rd floor of my elementary school before they tore it down. Glad I used my wit and charm to at least get it loaded on the truck Getting it into the house was another story!
Wife bought me the Hastings clock about 10 years ago for our anniversary. I'm not a GM guy, but I bought the AC spark plug cabinet dirt cheap. The 7 foot liquor sign was a freebe.
I don't have a lot of well used stuff in the shop(except me), but I have a house full of art deco furniture. Just gave a friend an old metal shelving unit complete in o.d. green with nos. and labels that I rescued at work.(approx.6'x3'x1' deep) Recycling will save the world!!
We've got a bit around the house... Vintage Superior Motor Courts lighted sign and the rotary phone we use. Lighted Entrance sign from an Ohio card room. S & H Green Stamps dispenser Salesman sample case for Munsingwear bowling shirts Iowa Motor Court sign And more random old stuff scattered everywhere. Here's the Crush clock Ryan used for his post - It was a fair price for one of the Pam clocks - $235.00. Other clocks at the same show were going for $300 - $500. The dealer ended up trading the clock to another dealer for something else.
I love all this kind of stuff, and have lots of vintage stuff here is some clocks, a thermometer, and the stove. CBB
ryan next time you're in so-cal (roadster show?) take the time to go to the long beach antique mall at 3100 coast highway, long beach, it's like a museum for this kind of crap, signs, clocks, thermometers, gas pumps, phones, old calenders, original pinup stuff, books, magazines toys etc. i usually try to make it over after the long beach swap, it's only a few miles down the road. prices are fair, i've bought a few things but more just like to look around, really easy to spend a few hours in there just digging through everything. trying to get a google street view map to show just so you can see how much shit is in the windows. http://maps.google.com/maps?sourcei...XGCw&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1 i'll try and remember to get some pics of my small collection when i get a chance
found this site. http://www.retrooffice.com/Vintage_Retro_Brushed_Steel_1950s_Steel_Tanker_Desk_Collection.htm
My wife and I had a slot machine identical to that restored for my Father-in-law about 15 years ago. They are a neat piece. The guy he got it from about shit when he saw it restored(and heard what it's worth!!)
I've posted these before but this is my garage. A friend of mine recently asked "is everything you own old shit!" You're damn right!
When ever I go to the flea bag or thrift store I find some cool old shit, I don't even clean it, I just hang it up .I think it looks cool when its in Original condition . I'll post some pics up later

Coke Chest, one of my neighbors was throwing away! Still works...
For a while the university was scrapping these things left and right. I must have seen 50 or more leave our building alone. Of course, the state wouldn't let anyone take them. State property. Had to be destroyed.
