Stumbled upon this place while cruisin' the information highway and figured you guys might like them. Lots of good stuff from the 30's and 40's. Here's the link: http://www.monroecountysheriff.info/about/history_pictures_main.html
Thanks a cool link, i've checked through it a few times. My dad was a Monroe County Sheriff's. He started in 66 and retired in 89. I fondly remember him taking me to the work from time to time when he was off duty. Or having an unmarked car as our "family" car.. It was pretty cool growing up with a Sheriff for a dad .. I looked through them a while ago just to see if he was in any..didn't see him though. Somewhere around here i have a pic of him in a 66 Biscayne two door Sheriff's car. Pretty cool to see a two door with the star and gumball.. Thanks for posting it. There is some cool pics in there. Tony
Two things that crossed my mind. 1. How many of the HAMBers are looking at the wrecked cars in these photos and thinking "that could be saved" 2. How much worse that '59 Chevy did in that crash test with the '09 car then most of these cars... makes me think some hanky panky at the crash test lab??? 3. ok I lied, three things, I wonder if some of these cars are the ones we are seeing turn up in the "junk yard finds" threads.. just thoughts...
