Do you remember a neon sign there? They've got a generic plastic backlit sign up in the lot. I'd think they probably had a better sign at one time. The food is amazing though! Anyplace with tater tots gets a thumbs up!
Yeah I remember it VERY well,I went to jackson high in the early 70s and we hung out there, when the old man owned it......plus it was the place to stop comin home from crusin broadway, that or Tubbys aka daves aka the golden touch across the street
You have the coolest collection I've ever seen. I've been staring for hours and have pages to go... Thanks!
We're on a road trip from Portland down to San Diego for Tiki Oasis and have been sticking mainly to old highways. We had been on most of the roads before but tried a different route and ran across this one. This one would look really nice back at the house
Lots of photo opportunities on old Hwy 99 central Calif. Californians say "HWY 99 is the new Route 66" That Tiki would look good "back at the house"... YEA, MY HOUSE! I'm a tiki freak and collect Hawaiiana.. I have a 6 footer I carved from a stump, it's guarding my wife's greenhouse. back to the regular scheduled program: some from Shorpy high resolution: http://www.shorpy.com/files/images/23595a.jpg http://www.shorpy.com/files/images/30157u.jpg 1917 Washington DC http://www.shorpy.com/files/images/03538u_2.jpg 1910 St. Louis, 10th & Cass Street."
