Bob, the Coupe was bright blue, can't remember the Hamber's name who it was bought from. Here's 41-Chevy ass end by request, it's a really beautiful car!

Great pics and it looks like a great show!

For the record, your not comparing apples to apples. We have a ton of wonderful shows here in the good Ole USA; Detroit Autorama, GNRS, Santa Maria and the list goes on and on. VLV has cars of the average income American and most indoor car shows tend to be a bit more upper class... not always drivers, more like displays.

Thank you for posting the pics. What a great show. Seems like the Swedes and the Finns (and to some extent the Japanese) have really internalized the American Hot Rod ethos. I'm mean, the UK and Australia have too, but those places you kind of expect it. It always surprises me a little more when I see it coming from other countries, especially ones where the public never really had significant access to V8-powered rides back in the day.

Great show. The cars and babes are top notch.

I think for the foreigners the expense is so much more they don't waste their money on doing things half-assed. They probably didn't have cars like that roaming the streets of Helsinki in the 50's but they have studied and done a great job of replicating the proper look.

Wow, everything in your coverage was beautiful. That first girl? I'm still having trouble catching my breath. I never realized Finnish girls were so gorgeous (and classy looking, not like some of the tramps here). What I enjoy about the cars is they are emulating a style, but not overdoing it. They really do seem to "get it" as some have said. They Japanese are artists and craftsman, but they seem to only do it for the artistic sense, not what's really behind the "heart" of rods and customs. That Kaiser and the Copper Coupe are FANTASTIC!

The quality of the cars on show and the amount of traditional rods and customs is amazing. Thanks.
