Thought some of you guys might appreciate this slideshow.....enjoy! http://oldfortyfives.com/CarShow_DragRacing-1966.htm
wow that was realy cool thanks. It is fun looking back at the old custom cars. I really like the orange/red vette
I'm thinking I saw that Bill Barry Pontiac that is shown getting ready to race in these pictures at the GNRS 2010? Thanks for sharing
Well that was fun. I saw a pic of the Ol' Man in the background of one of the cow palace pics. I forgot he ever looked that young. Thanks
Thanks....really brought back some memories. Forgot just how "over the top" some of those customs and hot rods were back then. I am (and was) a traditionalist and just didn't care for the garishness of some of that stuff. But, that's what the car show had become...more's the pity. Slides of the drags at Carlsbad were excellent. dj
Man does that bring back some memories, those cars are the reason I turned out like I did today......
Very cool. Thanks for sharing! That reminds me, Ill have to get with my grandpa and dig out his old slides! -Justin
These slides were found by a fellow slot car enthusiast. He did a great job with the slideshow. Yes, it was an awsome find, and it's good to know they have been preserved!!
See,it's stuff like this that makes this place one of the coolest spots in the universe. A million thanks for posting. Paul
Back when the boats were wood and the men where steel, and women who could cook would......and chrome was cheap! Nice work thanks!
I love history cl***!! Great pictures. You can see the finish on a lot of the cars with heavy metal flake.Cool
