My dad found this in his garage. The center divider is pot metal. It is for a 2 piece windshield. It is too big for my GMC carryall, so I think it could be for a bigger car, like a Buick or Packard. Any guesses? It also has vents on each side.

If it can be adjusted in the middle, it's probably universal.

Show some pics of the mounting provisions.

  3. Don't know, but Fulton was the name in sun visors...might help in a google search

  4. I have one something like it and as chaddilac stated if it adjust in the middle it was made to fit a few differant model cars. In the hay day of sunvisors it seems like mostly the bigger more expensive cars had them. sorry I couldnt be of more help to you other than this.Good luck in your search.....John

Here is a couple more photos. He also has an adjustable one he using on his '41 coupe. The interesting part is that it is steel and not aluminum.

Ok, how about this one. I do think this is a Fulton and I do think it will fit my GMC. The question is what brackets do I need to attach it? Anyone have photos of the needed brackets. This one is aluminum.

  7. The first visor you pictured is a 49-51 Mopar car sunvisor {the dead giveaway is the wide stainless center piece & 6 ventholes }.

The last one you pictured is a "KP" aftermarket visor.

  9. this looks like one I had on my 49 chevy coupe. It had 2 clips on each side, it clampet to the drip rails with 4 pinch clamps under the bolts you see on the visor. and a brace to the center w/s diveder. It's hard to tell for sure but it sure looks the same

I believe it does mount the same way as you mentioned on your 49. I think I will have to make the clips for the driprail. Unless anyone knows where to get them?
Lobucrod- The visor you have is shaped very similar. I like the visors that are curved more and fit tighter. The one you have look like a Casco that my dad is using on his '41 coupe.

I picked this one at a swap meet a couple of years while I was putting this car together. Wish I had put it on then to see how it fit. I'm not real crazy about the peak its got in the center. I'm not 100% sure if it was originally made for this car anyway. Probably would have tried to find a one piece in the mean time. But it is what it is for now. Have considered shortening the center brace a bit to see what it does but if I find a one piece later and want to get rid of this one I don't want to screw with it fitting what it was intended for. Still like the car better with than without.
Not meaning to highjack this thread but heres a pic without. Just looks bald in the front
