i am captivated by old hot rods. a wile a go i posted were are all of the old 70,s chopped hot rods now. well here is one that was brought into our shop here in cincinnati ohio. it has been around the area and most likely was at beechmont drags. it was built in the late50's earily 60's and updated in the 70's. the guy that brought it to us already scrapped the chassis and every thing else. all we got was the body but he wanted us to build something out of it. it was one an altered wheelbase 32 or 33 34 chassis . my dad remembers the car back in the earily 70's being yellow or gold ( he is color blind) and it had a ford engine in it . its chopped 4 " and is really cool to know it this far and it will be back on the road some time in the next year . i built a new chassis to gain some much needed head room back . i would love to see an old nail head or olds engine in it but the owner is going with a crate sbc. her is some photos of where i am at right now with it.

That's got the makings of a very nice build. Good luck with it and congrats on the save.

something about a survivor just feels good to work on

kinda like YOUR now the one whos duty it is to make sure others get a chance to see it

    sounds kooky man...hard to explain

but I do know I really dig working on something that has meant enough to others

    that there still here

if all you got was the body i wouldn't refer to it as a survivor.

    cool car though.
