Technical OLD T head....any idea what it is?

A friend has this cylinder. Any idea what it fits? Thanks again.

 

Reminds me of an old gravely walk behind tractor.

boy, you guys are sharp! i'm sure i must have walked by hundreds of gravely tractors in my day, but never studied the cylinder to recognize one!

 

Had one for the longest as well - I got somewhere.....went to a Studebaker collector auction and he had a few of those tractors plus parts......
