I have made a few posts here but not a formal hello. So with that, I'll say that hot rod cars have been a part of my life from the time I was a young boy drawing chopped three windowed coupes on my papers in grade school. I drove a fenderless 30 coupe to high school in 1962, with the four banger and a downdraft manifold and 1940 ford hydraulic brakes. I bought a 1940 Ford convertible my senior year in high school for $300.00 and drove it until I got married. I took a 20 year break from hot rods except for a 1953 Chevy pickup that my dad bought new in 53. I still have it, with a 350 V8 and a 700R ******. I'm currently building a 1930 full fendered AV8, I still have the 40 Convertible. I'm semi retired now and I can spend lots of time in the garage. This site is great, it keeps me young and I love the pics of the real hot rods in the world. Thanks a million!
