well , i hate to say i'm a newbie, since i'm 61 years young, but guess i'll live with it.
i've been into cars since i was 13 helping my older brother at his gas station(yeah, that's what there were called back then). i never went the car route as a profession, but was glad my brother gave me the experience and knowledge to wrench on my own cars.
my first car was a '54 ford that my brother bought new, then sold it to my brother-in-law, and then i bought it from him. body and interior were perfect, but the engine logged in at around 130k miles. my brother-in-law was also a mechanic, so he and i re-built the engine. since that first car, i have owned literly 100s. couldn't even remember them all.
ford was always my preference, so if i can answer any questions concerning the older fords, i'll try to help any younger guys who may be looking for that knowledge that actually growing up with these cars gives you. later, bud
