History Old Timers 50's Aluminum Wheel ID need your help

    Army Surplus or something left overs ? Anyone who raced back in the day know the origin of these wheel? There is a distinct 4 bolt type of pattern on the wheel assuming something originally mount there ?

    Originally I thought Airplane but have yet to find skinny wheels on anything short of aWW1 plane.

    Yep. Also there is another post on here talking about those wheels but I'm not sure which one yet.

    [​IMG] Here you go... I also posted these at the Drag Cars in Motion. They were a Scotty Fenn product. They did not seem to catch on, I have not seen many pictures of them. I know I don't care for them.

    [​IMG] Here is the book that had a feature on Scotty Fenn. I did my best to scan the article, but I did not want to hurt the binding on this fifty year old book, and some writing is hard to read.
