That p!sses me off a bit, what are they expecting - someone to walk in there and make them millionaires one day ? It's not gunna happen.
It's no different here, there are some willing to sell and deal and be reasonable, but there are also places you just walk away from shaking your head.

Holden released its first car, the 48-215 or 'FX' model in 1948. They never made a convertible, as far as I know.

My dad was going to buy me (us) a non-running FC sedan when i was 6 or 7. It had no brakes but it was in great condition. Two tone red and white. So bummed that transaction didn't pan out :(

Wow, I just got home and finally got to see the pics (blocked at work)
Amazing stuff. I really want a ute that nobody would recognize, and some of those in the pics certainly fit that bill.
I like that EK Holden to, the fronts on thos eremind me of tri 5's. They've been a favourite for years.

37coupeute 54 Chev then ? You're on. How good do you need it ?
    A 37 ute would be awesome !

Speaking of Ether, his family christmas card is reputedly very cool, maybe he'll post the picture here (i say reputedly cos I didn't get one, bastard)
He told me our guys nearly broke him down there. He hasn't been the same since.

  8. yes there is a such thing as a 1939 chev roadster. I had one as my wedding car a few years ago. ( the yellow one above) There wasn't very many made and I think there is only about 16 left.
I see somebody has posted some pix of the 39.
In those pix it was running a 400 small block with either triples or a tunnel ram with twin holleys. It has since been repainted a brighter yellow and reupolstered in white with yellow piping with www tires.
    Rip Max we miss you.

Broke, you're mostly right, their first standalone car with the FX, but they made bodies and complete cars for Chev under contract long before then as mentioned back into the 30's.
They were sort of like the Australian version of Fischer here in the states.
