Heres some pics of an old truck at my boss's dads house. Thought yall might like it. He used to work at a service station just a mile or two from where he lives and tried to replicate it at one point. Hes got alot of neat stuff/junk just lying around. Plus this truck he used to drag race years ago. Too bad he will not let it go by any means:(. Check it out.

Ahhh yes...let it rot rather than let someone revive it.

That makes a lot of sense to me...NOT!

  3. First pic belongs in a calendar or would make a nice art piece.

In FL, that thing has probably only been off the road about 3-4 years. :) Don't take long for stuff to rot away under the trees down there.

I dont think you can see it too well in the pic of the interior, but the floor was replaced once already. About 3 years ago it was actually in great shape. But cpnstant rain and the tree its under has played serious consequences to it. I worked at his sons sheet metal shop next to it for 3 years and hounded him constantly. I actually believe he told me hes gonna let it stay and rot before he got rid of it... too bad.

Dumb, his job of recreating an old pump station looks more like a pile of trash. shame to let that stuff just rot away for no reason, he could at least clean it all up and make it look like a real service station and give the truck a cheap paint job so that it looks real.

mixed fellings. if i were a rich eccentric it would be kinda kool to have a display like that on my property.but since i'm neither rich nor eccentric it just seems like a damn waste. give that guy fair warning that when i come over to plant city next year for the strawberry fest that i'm bringing my car trailer and performing an intervention on behalf of the truck.

He's letting it go alright, one rain drop at a time.
