Hi All, I've been here as a guest on and off over the last several months, and figured it was high time I joined. I've been involved with cars for as long as I can remember (brought on by my father) and have had the good fortune of wrapping our family business into something that we love. I am a second generation owner of Rallye Productions Inc. We manufacture Dash Plaques, Awards, T'shirts, Banners, Drag plates (club plates), and a variety of other memorabilia for automotive events around the country. We work with many of the bigger associations like Goodguys, NSRA, Rightcoast, NHRA, as well as thousands of smaller clubs that are trying to raise a few bucks for a good cause, not unlike you did for Andy with your shirt/plaque fundraiser a couple of years back. Looking to learn more about the craft as well as build some business relationships if that expectation isn't out of line. Thanks for the opportunity to learn something new.
.....Welcome.....you got some great products.....keep up the great service.....Big Bad John from Evansville, Wisconsin.....
Thanks for the warm welcome all.... Checking into becoming a H.A.M.B. Vendor. I know we've worked with some of the members already, but I'm hoping to get involved with a the vendor program if possible.
Welcome, I think I have several dash plaques you and or your dad made that are still in the little envelopes they came in A handful from 88 to the early 90's out of about 300. Yes I know your company name pretty well and have for a long time.
Yes we've been around since 62....My dad was the president of the Wisconsin Corvette club back in the early 60's and had to order dash plaques for the club from a kid that started the business to save up and buy a jaguar e type at the time. A partner approached him and they bought the kid out together.... Within the first year of business, his partner had committed mail fraud, and left town... leaving my father with a bunch of unhappy customers. After resolving the problems for his customers, he bought the interest of the business from his partners father for $1500. He ran the business for a year or two part time while he worked as a journeyman tool and die in a model shop. Finally got so busy that he had to make a choice. He wanted to stick with what was familiar and sell the company. Mom told him he should go for it....he could always go back to tool and die work with a journyman card. The rest, as they say is history... I was born in 67, grew up with the business and car stuff all around me. Worked my way up from packaging all the way to screen pritning plaques by the time I was 16. Started running the shop when I was 19, and ran the business in tandem with my sister, and folks from that time until I was around 33 or so. At that time I bought my folks out with Lori (my sister), and we've been running it on our own for the last 10 years. Dad still has a 47 ford coupe rod...although he has macular degeneration, and diabetes, he's hanging in there pretty well. My folks still love going to the shows, but between macular degeneration and cataracts, he wasn't able to see well enough to drive this last year. He just had surgery and hopefully with new glasses will be improved enough to be able to get behind the wheel another season. We'll see how it goes. Sorry to ramble, but we have a pretty extensive history of making plaques. I have a couple of boards full of plaques from the late 60's laying around that are pretty cool.
