Heres mine, 1951 olds, she needs some work before she hits the road. I need to get her cleaned up and get some better shots. It hasnt been on the road since 1962. I had thought about adding another 63 desoto teeth to the grill. What do you think?
People ask me how I got the paint to look so old. Mother Nature's work are her best. I feels good just to rub you hand accross it. There is actual moss growing in the inside of the box. I spray it with water to keep it green. I know.....sounds dumb. Gary
All I did was wash it throughly with strong soap & a scuff pad! I thought it was green for years. I might color sand a little spot, then buff & see how it looks.
My old laquer is cracking despite my rubbing on her for the last 30 years with #7 Meguiar's..........
These are starting to show their age too! The first one is a hand made racer my dad built when he was living in France as a young boy in the early 50's.
Here is my 64... All original finish.. The lettering is faux.. This were just taken this summer. date on pics is wrong
Larry, Thanks for starting this thread. I've been on the fence about repainting by '39 Plymouth Business Coupe. It has mostly original paint, tho spotted in here and there and several buds have told me not to repaint it. Now I'm absolutely convinced to leave it alone. Dave
