Technical Old wheels

    Hello. I just picked up an old boat trailer with these rims on it. Any idea what year these might be. Tires are 6.50-16”. Thanks

    Better question is what axle are the wheels attached to?

    If they are Ford, 16” means they are ‘35. ‘32 wheels were 18”. ‘33-‘34 were 17”. Not positive but I assume other brands were similar.

    Yes, that’s a 35 Ford wheel.

    That’s not a cheater slick, it’s a poor man slick.

    Axle is a boogered up mess. They heated and bent spindle steering arms down and bolted then to the axle. The axle was cut and widened with angle iron welded back in the center

  10. '35 drums on there too, but I suspect the braking surface will have suffered on a boat trailer...
