Hi there, my name is Oldbanger71, i'm sticking arround in H.A.M.B. since 2008, but was not active for a while. Dreams comme not just arround the corner in Switzerland. Two weeks ago , i saw an ad for a 1932 traditional Ford Hot rod with swiss****le, i called the chap and went to see the car two days later with a friend. I have restored old cars before, but was not familiar with 1932 Ford hot rod, like he is. The same day i made the deal and last weekend i made a roadtrip with my brother and ouer sons, to pickup the Rod, ist was a cool trip and we arrived safe at home. I found out, that i called the owner just houers after he placed the ad and was the first to see the car, before others noticed the ad. Since the car is drivable and in quite good state, there are some technical things which need to be deald with. First action, for now was painting the inside taillamps white, since they where black and only little light came out, and make a better seal for the badley leaking petrolcap ( driving rh. corner, produced a line of petrol on the road, no whonder gas/milage was pretty uncool. ) The front end needs work, for front end shimmy is real bad. some switches need relocating, as they work, but are not easy to reach while driving. Engine needs some adjusting because it sounds like a sewingmashine... I'm sure more things will comme up, once i drive it more. I've ben learning here quite a lot and gatered manny helpful ideas, that i can put in use with my 1932 roadster. More cars are in the pipeline and will make progress, while i can actually DRIVE with the '32 Roadster. P.s. sorry for my rusty english. CORDially Oldbanger71
Hi & welcome. Your English is fine. Nice looking car & should give you lots of good times driving it. I am a Chevy guy and do not have Ford parts recources other than I know Snyder carries lots of Fort replacement parts. You can find them on the internet very easy as well as others. Surely some ford guys will be along for more help. Jimmie
