I am trying to ID two older mechanical fuel injection fuel pumps for a friends family. They appear to be Enderle 80-A pumps but lack the company name and model number normally cast into the housing. The front cover does have a logo that I thought was Enderle. The only marking is the stamped serial number. Alkydigger and Goodvibesracing don't recall ever seeing pumps without the embossed company name and model number. Enderle seems to be a phone or snail mail only contact and I have not gotten through as of yet. So I thought I would tap the experience of the HAMB to see if anyone has any insight in the indentification or perhaps experience with early pumps. I know Kent Enderle was in the fuel injection business in the early '60s. Initially with Pete Jackson who parted ways in 1964. Perhaps some early pump castings were without the embossed lettering? Thanks,
G'day Jim, I've got one of those pumps too, and I reckon you are correct - Enderle 80A. Some photos here: http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23332 They are relatively common - was offered one for sale last week. I recently rebuilt mine, and the internals sure do appear to be Enderle - their seals fit, and the pump has the funky Enderle bearings (which take real care to drive back in... don't ask me how I know ). Cheers, Harv
Looks like an Enderle pump to me,,,,,,I’m not an expert though . Alkydigger is pretty sharp on his stuff about injection . It could be an early example of a pump ,,,,,and marked in a different fashion . I know the cover is identical to the Enderle pumps I have though ,,,,,,and the body looks like it is a dead ringer of a 80-A pump . Tommy
