Technical Older Stewart Warner Tach.?

    I always ***umed, and maybe incorrectly that this S/W tach. was not complete but needed a sending unit to plug into the 3 prong electrical end to make it work.     Nope. It needs a rare sender that fits between the distributor and the cap. And each sender is particular to that particular distributor. There are a couple dozen tachs floating around for every sender still alive today.

  5. As above. You could get the guts out of a new one and instal it inside that housing.
    Or make a million bucks with it on Ebay.

    I think you can have those rebuilt to work without the dist. adapter.
