Two oldies that were released before most of us were old enough to get our drivers license will once again make the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. I am a child of Rock n Roll and still listen to top 40 stations and occasionally look at the charts. My heart skipped a beat looking at the January 9th (this weeks) top 100. At #47 is "Jingle Bell Rock", a song Bobby Helms recorded in 1957. And at #30 is "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree", a song 14 year old Brenda Lee (we are the same age) recorded in 1958. I know the season is the reason but when you look at some of today's hits that were above it in the charts this week it is quite heart warming to a guy that was 13 and 14 years old when they were first recorded.
