Anybody got pics of a 303 olds motor with Fenton headers in a Model A? I got a set and don't know if they will work. My 29 frame and body is being built by Last Refuge so I can't mock them up. Secondly, The headers came with an ear tab for a generator mount that broke off. Is welding cast Iron really hard?
I only have a pic of the drivers side in a 52/54 Ford, so that won't help. The outlet curls around the steering box, so I guess these were made for the 50s cars, rather than a hotrod. Bring the welding to an expert, then it will be done right.
I've been working with them for a couple of months. i started with just a frame and ended up with a roller and body package. Paying as I go along. Would have been done, but keep adding and changing things. Here is a pic of the headers
I think those will be impossible to use with a model A. Here is a link to a thread with a pic of Belond lake headers on a 26/27 Model T. Might be worth a look. Scroll up from this link. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6755558#post6755558
They bring darn good money, so it's not all bad news. Maybe trading stock for other rare Olds stuff? You never know.
I don't doubt it. I honestly forgot what a used set was getting on ebay when I used to look at olds parts every day. But a hamber from Canada put up a NOS set on hamb for 1k, and they sold in a day or less. 2-3 years ago.
