Olds/Pontiac backing plate interchange

Fiddy needs a '62 Pontiac rear backing plate...I've got '62 Olds backing plate.

I know the rear end housing is the same, but what about the plates?

Hollander? Beuller?

GM used to publish it's parts interchangeability in it's parts price or parts books. Since aftermarket computer pricing (increases, of course) have taken over at the dealer scene, this info may not be avaialable, or is unknown to the recent high school socially-promoted graduate or may have been supressed by GM bean counters.

It just seems that memory suggest these items are intercahngeable

 

Backing plates aren't listed as a separate item in Hollander's.
