    Hey guys,

I am picking up that 50 Olds with the 303/Hydro next spring, but I would like to plan the build up and find some parts over the winter.

Are there any good books on building Rockets? I have no experience rebuilding an OHV. (flathead guy, kinda)

What are some good sources for rebuild kits/speed parts?

    Thanks,

Doc Fromahader (sp?) did a build up series of a early-mid 50s Rockets in Custom Rodder about 18 months ago ( it was called "Lead Rockets".
I've seen a fair few shop manuals on EBay if they are of any help.
Also in Ebay I've seen stacks of inlet manifolds 4x2, 3x2s etc. One of the guys here has a whole collection of those.. forget who though.. might of been foiledagain ??

I photo copied that Lead Rockets series. It's a good series for a rocket build up. I could send you a copy if you want.

It's a 324 build up. As for parts you may need try Egge machine, Fusick's, Kanter or good old Ebay. Pick up a copy of Hemmmings, lots of parts in there also.

In a sister magazine he did a buildup on a 394. if you need a 3x2's or a 2x4 intake , i have some, as well as a 2x2 setup with or without carbs. rockett88 has seen some of the stuff on my walls, but it keeps changing every so often.
