i have a 1961 olds rocket 394 and i recently accuired a 3x2 intake that is an original olds intake. with the new gasket it seems like the ports on the heads are larger than the intake, and there is a gap on the bottom, where it will clearly leak, also it seems as if the bolt holes are off on only a few holes by about a 1/4 of the hole, its real close. do you think its the wrong intake? i plan to run the numbers. do i need some kind of spacer plate?
has anyone else had this problem? any ideas? all help is appreciated.
    thanks,chris

Its most likely a 303-324 or 371 Olds manifold.

49-58 Rockets had different deck height than the 59-64's did. You may be able to build aluminum spacers or double up on the gaskets.

Found out when I ordered '58 371 pistons for a '60 371, and the pistons stuck out of the block 1/4 inch. Went with '59 pistons and was ok.
