I'm so happy we're all friends again!
And yes the hideous vw above may be faster than my car, but I wouldn't trade.
You crack me up, man and you rule for helping Tony with that 59' project and especially all the shit-talkin'!
    Good luck to you Tony!

Tony, perhaps one of the reasons you are having "no sucess" in selling the truck is because of the way it looks. De-rockabilly it a bit and I bet you have better luck.

Which he is trying to do therefore the truck needs to be more "mainstream" to appeal to more people.;)

Tony, If you stripe you should have no problem hand painting the raised letters...such as the photo below. I would suggest hanging them on the wall though till you are ready to use them.;) :D

most of the "rockabilly" stuff on the truck is very subtle. first glance it looks mainstream. the biggest rockabilly thing on it is the striping. I'd like to try eBay again soon but idk.

There is no such thing as "subtle" and "first glance" when someone is looking at a car/truck to buy. The normal purchaser will be all over it, looking at every single thing and thinking in their head how much extra money they will have to spend to change something that you've done "different" to the truck that they don't like.

BTW, striping is art, not rockabilly, and done tastefully is an asset to the truck. If someone is seriously looking at the truck you might want to offer to remove the striping if it's not to their liking. Some people might not know how to remove it.

    Good luck with the sale.
