image.jpeg Got this very solid Cutlass Wagon , mechanical work well on on
It's way. One minor problem ! Doors do not work from the inside. Replaced the latches, , made the Exterior door handles much better. Not so much inside! Any help greatly appreciated

Pull the door trim off and check what the rods or linkages do when you operate the handle, could be as simple as a retaining clip fallen off or broken.

    I wish...
Everything is correct, and mechanically functional. Odd that both doors just don't quite disengage from inside only....

  4. On Fords it's possible to install some of the linkage on the wrong side (Passenger door vs driver's door), with the results being what you're describing. Ask me how I know......I just can't remember what exact part it was. Maybe that could have been done on your olds. Just a thought.Your post heading mentions window woes, but your post talks of door latch problems??
What did you replace the latches with? Is it all 4 doors, or just the fronts?

is there an adjustment on the remote control? like slots where the mounting bolts go, and you need to pull it forward to take up slack?

If you post some pictures of the door, showing the linkage, we might be able to get some ideas. A few words don't paint much of a picture :)

Well if the exterior works well, I'd assume an adjustment would get the inside working. Maybe parts switched side to side as mentioned , or tighten up / bend something to get the play out. Could be wear, but I'd think the drivers door would be worse than the rest. Back doors good?

Hi. Google might be your friend on this. Search for front door latch adjustments for that model wagon. It might surprise some how many of today's auto "technicians" cannot fix anything without doing that first.
    Good luck, Jimmie
