Check out this thread. I detailed what I did. it was NOT easy and required a lot more pressure than I thought it would. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/clr-ans-patina.733740/#post-8151799
Long ago -- bought this new in 1957: Stick shift post sedan. Later on it had a '37 LaSalle floor shift, later still a B&M hydro. Put 73,000 miles on it in 3 years.
Her it is in Norway after a long time waiting for it from Washington [emoji16] at Coupe Devils . Bonanza 2015. Some one told me that the car needed paint, so I added some [emoji13]
Funny, on about page 10 of this thread is my old 60 Olds and 38 Dodge (olds powered) from 2010. Those are long gone, bought these last year. The grey primer one was canibalized for the 394.
In drag racing, when someone cuts a better light than you, we say you got "treed"; well, so did this Olds! I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Papajohn, the wagon and convertible are like a His-n-Hers pair of classics. Very cool. Kind of a shame to cut up that 4 dr sedan. Someone from Norway or Sweden, would totally roll that Lansing express, down the road. I understand, since I cut up a '64 Super 88 4dr, like 8 years ago. Had the Starfire engine and factory a/c I needed, for MY convertible project. JT
This is not my car, but I'd buy it in a minute if I could. Saw this picture on eBay several years ago: ...and then found this image elsewhere on the HAMB: I'm pretty sure it's the same car with different shoes. I love it both ways!
I'm always thinking about having a set of old Daisys or similar to swap on to my 55 I figure it would look very different to wide whites full hubcaps and spats.
cube stude, just love the look of that front end, sanse the bumper. Entire car is quite nice. Olds power????? JT
Cube What a great looking car. Love the skirts and the lower look. Reminds me of my 37 Chevy business coupe. I installed a 55 Chrysler 300 hemi 331c.i. in it and later sold it. Sad!!
Couple more of this car. I had this from 1990 - 2010. Originally all white, switched to the blue around 2008. I saw a pic of this car recently, it has chrome Cragars and white lettered tires now.
I know its a little off topic but its a OLDS STATION WAGON. I sold her 12 years ago and just found her sitting in a garage for the last 10 years.I had to have her back. She road ready now and love driving her. The hardest part is keeping the people away when I take her food shopping.LOL. Bruce.
