    Stogy !
Thank you, I am planning on running the floor on the bottom of the frame like a belly pan . As far as the firewall goes was planning on building an access plate for the distributor. Thinking about a clear Lexan cover . Make two one out of a aluminum also? A clear one would make for early fire detection .

    Bias plys all the way.

    Thanks for following along

I wasn't sure what was run back in the day as this Hotrod seemed to be a racer rather than a streeter so sometimes there are some pretty hot Mechanical details right next to you with linkages and more saying hello especially back when this Omaha Coupe was making noise...good to know there will be floor and Tunnel coverage keeping you separate and safe...

    Roadster 028.jpg

...this is exactly what I was wondering about...

I guess this makes new hurdles in the under floor ch***is runs as a result of a dropped floor...

    All part of the challenge...

    Thanks @tdog and @Tman

Unfortunately the old frame of the racer was gone …. I only have one good photo with the door open where you can see the heavy channel, pedal location. And steering wheel. It appears the floor was on the top of the frame . I am planning a belly plan style floor to allow for more foot room.

Outrageous!!! When you get it going I'd like to put both our cars together for a little photo session showing just how different they are from each other.

Probably need to plug the bottom outlet and see if it will hold water without being under pressure first ……. Fingers crossed she does.

Just ran across this thread after being gone awhile on the HAMB. I am from Omaha (Millard) and was around in 90. I want to say I have seen that sitting somewhere sometime, but my memory is shot these days! Will be following for sure.

G***er Dave, thanks for following along . When I have it completed I am going to try to get permission from the home owner to take it back to the alley where. I seen it sitting in 1990 to get some photos . Location was two blocks away from President Ford’s birthplace.

7659416A-1531-480B-8520-C861E8569777.jpeg Cut splines on a shortened inner drive shaft with a grinder …… first on was not tight enough . Second drive shaft I cut down and tried it again and got the collar to tap on for a snug fit. This is a temp situation for the 1940 banjo . The end plan is a 301 quick change. If I go closed driveshaft with that . I will have a machinist cut splines on a another inner .

Cut a hard edge on the threads of a factor banjo torque tube bolt. Cleaned up the factory holes in the scout for the banjo where the torque tube bolts up. 42EA9829-9D78-43D6-8B45-B670AB9F5856.jpeg The factor bolts had been out for some time . Had to clean out the crud. The factor bolts were not going in . Like ****er now. Got lucky and the threads were not cross threaded

Had to grind some tacks and make some adjustments. The top photo is what I cut out . Bottom photo back together with new parts. Everything seems to be in the right place . At least I hope she welded now …. 3F73692C-2D5A-4D07-877E-9E885A3FD142.jpeg EBEBA3DD-A640-4EF8-8356-FD5EF58A1CDF.jpeg
