Any good ideas on separating '40 Ford rear hubs and drums? Does it help to cut off the studs if they don't come free? I have made a pretty good mess of some others in the past. Also, can the '40 rear drums be used on the front '40 hubs if I go with the Bendix brakes on the front?
Thanks for any and all feedback. I realize there is a lot of info on site but just don't seem to find what I am looking for.

If you do not have a swage cutter, you will need to grind the heads off the wheel bolts and hammer them out from the inside.

Didn't think about working from the inside, that sounds pretty good.

  4. Get a hole saw that just fits over the studs and cut just through the drum...this ruins the drum by the way....and you need the right studs to insert in the hub...you can buy new drums from Macs, Joblot ect.......

Get the correct studs first. For some reason I think they may be hard to find.
