? on a NOS 8609 Signal Stat turnsignal Switch

I just finished installing a NOS 8603 Turn siganl weitch The old on looked crappy so I just wire for wire matched it up and but connected the same wires color for color..

AFTER I installed it when I hit the brakes the turnsiganl bulbs light They still show once I use the turn siganls

they work like the rear lights but on my dash the frt lights do not hav any problems

Is this becuase I have a 8609 swithc and thats how it was made or is something wrong

PERSONAL I love it becuase I have it on a P350 Parcel truck and NOW I willl aloways know I have brakes light!!
