IMG_20220928_163606754.jpg Guymon OK...I suspect this was a transmission shop some point in the past IMG_20220928_164029127.jpg IMG_20220928_164428806.jpg IMG_20220928_164610315.jpg

So, I saw a gate open and the shop door up. It is an unspoken rule that if a car guys gate is open and another car guy is driving by....it's an invitation to come on in....this is what caught my eye IMG_20220928_165930737.jpg this is Rod. He is my middle brothers age. Was his granddad's truck new...now his daily driver. He also has a '47 Ford Cdan that he has since high school. But this 1935 John Deere model D he used to take to town to get ice cream with his two boys. It's mostly hidden but those cylinder pistons are at least 8" in diameter IMG_20220928_170636338.jpg
That's it from Guymon OK...see you in the morning

Great documentation. I always laugh when people complain about cow poop stinking. Grew up in the middle of nothing but farms, you want stink find some pigs lol. Cow shit will just smell like summer after that point haha

Yes, bangers...the most money you can spend to go slow....hit a storm cell yesterday and the head wind made a gear drop and 55 mph max. That's hot rodding in a banger....which I'm fine with
This set up dyno'd at 63 HP to the rear wheels
    Good luck

On the road shortly. Did a main jet change last night going from a 41 to a 42 as I drop in altitude from my 7000' starting point. Brought 43 jets too. Probably ought to retard the timing now that I think of it. Thanks for talking it thru with me....

I've got a lifter that is starting to go tick tick tick and a headlight that quit. It burned a bulb and my replacement rotated the contact base in the socket...it's daylight now..
I'll address before the return trip

Really cool man. You say you're Bangor made 65 horse at the wheels, what do you think the stock combo put out being that it's claim to be 40 horsepower at the motor?

Have you seen any other old cars on the road headed the same way?

Wow! Talk about inflation!!! $70 is bad enough for a pumpkin, but a $1300 camp chair?!? I hope it's either Louis Vuitton or just a misplaced decimal point! "Smart Buy" indeed. :p

FOR SALE: I have three camp chairs I'll let go for the low-low price of $600 each, if anybody is interested. My loss is your gain. :D:D:D

    Dammit, I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!
Makes me wanna unload my truck on some poor, unsuspecting sap and buy a banger!!!:cool::cool:

No, but I've seen some balloonists headed towards Albuquerque for the 50th international balloon fiesta this weekend...a good time to be away from there.
I'm on US 64 across the top of the pan handle it's the roughest paved road I've ever been on

That’s because no one lives in the panhandle. No politicians have to drive on them.

Haven't seen the panhandle since '64...Enjoyed it thru the windshield of a '57 White Freightliner, 220 Cummins w/ 13 speed Roadranger.
