My Uncle got a tip on an old truck in a barn in Maryland. He did all the research, and found out where this thing was. I, of course, was in to it enough to drive (only about 2 hours). Long story short, the owner knew what he had, but wanted to sell. Two days later, we were towing a '32 Model B Ford Pickup home. This thing sat in the barn for 50 years, but fired right up (with a little starting fluid). Even the tires are good enough to use. Later, we found out why it was parked. The trans slips out of second. Trans is being rebuilt now. This thing already had juice brakes, and '35 Wires on it. Still stoked for my Uncle about this.

Great find,,but I don't think 50 year old tires are good enough to use. HRP

I have one of those. It is a 17" too. Beautiful tire, great tread looked like it was GOOD. Aired it up, held air. A few days later it went off like a shotgun. The bead burst

Nice score! One of my greatest fears, is that something cool will drop in my lap and I'll be too broke to grab it.

New tires are in the works...

  25. Personally speaking I don't think you could find anything better than that in a barn. What an outstanding find.

is it against the rules to ask how much?

  29. Very fortunate to find one that solid, don't take the chance of wrecking it because of 50 year old tires, though. Or 50 year old wheel cylinders for that matter.
