Just got a call.... Ken and Vicki are headed west on I40 and having a little trouble out of their Caddy(acts like vapor lock)---Ken seems to think it's a recurring carb problem---SOooo.... If anybody has a spare/forsale/loaner small base Rochester 2GC(center carb for a tripower).....PLEASE bring it to the drags !!!!!!! Not an earth-shaking problem---they're gonna make it, I'm pretty sure, but definitely something that needs attention.
Just saw Ken and Vicki this past weekend,,,first Gary has vapor lock problems with his 59 caddy and now Ken,,,hope someone can help them out. HRP
All my spares are probably worse than what he has. Would have to be kitted at least. I'll look around and see what I've got. Met Ken and Vicki last year. Nice folks.
We are part way (450 miles) so we feel that we will make it. We've just been through the whole fuel system in the past couple of weeks and were assured that all is/was OK. We are not on the side of the road but it sure is aggravating as the pesky problem persists. Thanks for everyones concern, see you all tomorrow in Joplin - hopefully by mid-afternoon.
And the Caddy was not giving us a bit of trouble that evening. We'll make to Joplin and back, after all we promised you a HAMB Drags t-shirt Danny
