On Topic! 12 spoke question...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Curly, Nov 13, 2003.

  1. I have an oppurtunity to pick up a set of American Racing 300 series 12 spokers. Problem is that the guy does not know if they fit an Anglia or early Ford. All I got is some pics. Can you tell just by looking what the dif is?

It seems, compared to other pics that I have, that the Anglia has a very small outer bearing and the Ford has a bearing closer to the size of the inner bearing. The "Hub" section of the Ford also seems to be wider than the Anglia's hub. But I have never really studied them and these are from pics. I need some info from someone that has dealt with the real thing before.

I'm assuming that the pics that guy sent me are early Ford cause the rims are 4" wide and the hub is about 1"-2" wider than that and has an outer bearing that is only slightly smaller than the inner.

  2. I have early Ford hubs in the bike wheels on the front of my dragster. Also, I sold a set to "Fritz" not long ago. If you measure the length through the hub at the bearing races, we can see how it compares. The Anglias will be shorter.

  4. Buy them. If they aren't the right ones, sell them to me. Dave

  5. Somebody got 'em with the buy it now option. Damn I almost hit it and withheld cuz I'm unemployed and 500 smack is a lot of dough right now, especially if they are the wrong ones. Oh well hope it was HAMB'r that got em. I snoozed... I lost.
