    forgive my ignorance, american cars are fairly new to me. What is the significance of the ardun motor

    Start by doing a google search on Zora Arkus Duntov.
    There is a lot written about the man because he made a lot of automotive history.

    I think you mean 13K.
    I,m glad I bought mine 18 years ago.i could not afford them now.
    How many of you guys know that duntov made 2 different types of Ardun head.The first couple of hundred heads have the water necks on the front of the head.The rest have the outlet in the middle-Opposite of a flathead.
    My heads are numbered 242 and 243.

    Those things are cool but 30 grand? Even if I had the money I still wouldnt spend that kind of dough on that. [​IMG]

    Arduns are cool, no question. But if I have a set of those heads I'd sell them and build an entire car with the proceeds. And at a $30K sales price that car could easily have an aluminum-block FE for power...
