Thought this looked kinda old-timey. Most of my other pics are duplicates of the other posts, but I didn't recall seeing this one. If it's a dupe, my apologies.
Sweet photo...it doesn't take too much imagination to see through the mind's eye a line of guy's in white t-shirts and stiff, cuffed Levi's standing there with their chicks in poodle skirts and pony tails! Of course I personally am not old enough to remember this scene first hand, I'm sure that I just saw it on a poster... yeah, right!
Joe your funny. No I only wish. I refuse to start anything else until I get my shoebox ****oned up, which is getting eerily close to driving. I know the car your talking about, I've been out to La Mesa only once so far, and that was the best thing I saw. I'm not certain it's the dame car though, look at the grill surround on the Paso pic versus the one in LM. Plus the one from LM doesn't have an exposed radiator cap...
I don't think those two pictures are the same car, although they're certainly similar: rear tires, grille, cowl lamps, hood louvers... Isn't the Paso picture Don Dillard's car (DRD57)?
I meant that the named features were DIS-similar. Also louvered aprons on the LaMesa car, various decals, and it may be chopped a little deeper than Don's.
Come to think of it, looks like Don's car to me also... In the event he doesn't see this post, I e mailed him a copy.
