One month till Bonneville speed week...Who's counting days?

Keep me posted Jeff. If you take the 32 Ill definately be taking the 40. I got the jump seat so I wasnt going to put him in the trunk, although there is more room back there.

 

Its crunch time for us too,the new 519 blown alchohol motor is still in pieces,as we're waiting for the new custom crank girdle/pan and the billet steel main caps to arrive.......times a tickin.....aaarrrrgh!!
We'll probably be finishing stuff off in the pits ....as usual!

 

I'll be there Friday-Thursday if nothing breaks!

 

Hey Lucky, maybe I'll bring a bottle of Old Crow Whiskey and drop it in your pit area... man that stuff stinks!!

 

Leaving in a couple weeks, taking my 4WD SUV and mullins trailer so that I can get in the back country in Colorado and SE Utah for some wilderness camping. Should be at the Salt on the 6th.

Our advance team is currently on the salt locating courses and starting to drag. The salt condition is almost 100% dry and "just right" for dragging. If mother nature continues to cooperate, 3 courses will be available. Stay tuned.

Me and my wife will be there early early early Friday morning. Wish I could make the trip in with the rest of the team on Wed. but the job has to get some days.

 

Tim....Had hoped to have a relaxing year, but since I`m bringing Uncle Miles as usual, you can count on us for help if you need it. That is, providing you don`t kidnap him and take him to the Strip Club again......

 

Wish i was going, turn 50 in August and have never been. Can't find any place to stay..................

Post out on every board that you are on, that you are looking for a room. That is how I have managed almost every time to get a room. Be prepared to wait until the last day to get a room, but the odds are really good you will get one.

It's nothing to write home about...or write anywhere about as a matter of fact! Last time I was there they were getting paid to put their clothes back on!

 

Be nice, a friend of mine THINKS his daughter is one of the girls. She obviously won't admit it.

 

I'll see if I can make it for a couple days again this year. It'd be fun to take the 55, but it's more comfy sleeping in the suburban!

Not able to make it this year. Had to toss a coin, heads-go to the salt or tails-pay for the wifes last year of nursing school. Guess which one it is! The Hudsons not quite ready yet anyway,but guess who's funding the trip in 2011? To all those that get to go this year post lots of pics and stories when you get back and be safe. Stay cool. Ken

ONCE IN A LIFE TIME! Last year was my 1st and unbelivable, but finding a room is impossible, so this year I planned early! ... RESULTS: I have an extra reservation at a Wendover motel for this years Bonneville speed week 6 to 14 Aug 09. You or a fellow gearhead would have take it for at least 7 days. 1 King bed + a roll away, non smoking. Contact me ASAP as I need to pay-up in advance or give it up (cancel). Also, a group of Hot Rod campers from the "Bend" could split the room cost so they could shower and change each day. Please pass this info on to anyone who really needs it. ... I pick up my room on Wednesday when I arrive in LA from New Zealand... Just brought this for my tour to Speedweek...

 

Leaving wednesday....taking the worlds fastest Avion At least it is the fastest at wasting buffing pads...(should have never started polishing it...) maybe next year I will try to get rid of the swirl marks. Wife snuck a pic of me buffing, and J-Bird putting a nice design on the fridge....He painted the lettering on the camper also.....See ya at the bend...
