For one last great time before the snow flies think about going to The Gathering of the Faithful, in Marion MA. It's on October 18th this year, from 9 to 3. Draws mostly the older guys, which makes it a great chance to see some rods that were done "back in the day." Guys like the Shuman Brothers (who wrote cool cars, square roll bars) and Paul Howard (av8PAul) are usually there, plus many others. Always cold, mellow and friendly. I'll post specifics like address and directions soon. Or you can e-mail or pm me.

You're talking about snow coming and I'm sitting here hoping today was under 100 degrees. We had a heat wave, monday tuesday and wednesday broke the high temp records for those dates. Yesterday tied it for that day.

When it cools off we can start having shows. [IMG]

Directions: From RT 195 take exit 20. That is RT 105. Take 105 south for approx 1/4 mile. Washburn Park is on the left. There is a green street sigh that says Washburn Park. Take the narrow road to the field.
This is a very laidback gathering. $10 gets you in and you can set-up and sell all of your left over parts. Food sold on the grounds. Nice way to close out the northeast season.

Mark....we don't mention the "S" word this time of year. Enjoy everyday it's not "S-ing". It's all we'll be talking about in a few months.

Sorry for the side track but,
If mother nature is kind and there is no "S WORD" then maybe the CSRA Swap Meet on November 9th will be the last fling for the Vintage Iron. It's held at Lake Compounds in Bristol CT.

Mark,
If that's your coupe, you have been busy. You should trailer that work in progress to the "gathering" on Saturday. See you there.

Paul,
Don't let the picture fool you. That's just a collection of parts made to LOOK like a car. I'm not talented enough yet to actually ***emble it. Practice makes perfect though. See you at the Gathering.

BTW, all local guys with time to kill this Saturday should definitely come out for this.

Funny you should post this tonight. I just got home from "Garage Night" in Bridgewater. I was asking your father if you had channeled your coupe. He explained how you got the "look".
Bring your rain coat for the morning atleast. I plan on putting out some rooster tails on my ride to the "Gathering".
